HUSTLE JUICE

There is nothing like waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee, or as I call it “Go Go Juice” or “Hustle Juice.” It wakes me up, gives me clarity of mind, and it helps ready me to attack each day with full alertness and sharpness of thought. Coffee is the number one beverage served, next to tea, for all hospitality situations. Sure, water is up there on the hospitality list but is 3rd to coffee, 2nd to tea, but above soda-pop. Of course, the hospitality list sees fluctuations depending on your country and city.

With the internet and social media being so prevalent, anyone can obtain a plethora of information shared by a vast amount of individuals who work out or are affiliated with the fitness or health industry. Because of this, some tend to have a mixed opinion on this alluring, roasted, kingly drink and elixir known as coffee. Some opinions shared on the internet say that coffee or caffeine is bad for you, and others say it’s good for you. Truthfully, there are a lot of opinions. I dare say you need to do your own research and experiment yourself to see how coffee or caffeine affects you! I know a woman who cannot have caffeine at all. Also, my mother can’t have too much caffeine because it makes her heart race. I would challenge you to see how it affects you before you pass judgement on it.

Taking Pre-Workouts Are Not Necessary

WHAT? That’s right I didn't stutter. Pre-Workouts can become a crutch instead of a solution for many people. Pre-Workouts are the second most sold supplement, next to protein powders; however, Pre-Workout supplements are shown to be very addictive like crack cocaine or other narcotics if constantly used. There is often double and triple the caffeine in many Pre-Workouts. These drinks were originally formulated for days when you are tired, not focused, and feeling blah. Personally, I’ve tried them and dislike the jittery, electric feeling I got. It sort of felt like thousands of pins and needles were being poked into my skin. If you “need them” great, but most of the time you just need to fix your sleep or fix your life. It’s that simple! Please understand me, I am not saying don’t use them. I am saying do the research and ask yourself why you are you taking them. My experience and preference is to have black coffee. In fact, my research shows that coffee is an old school bodybuilder’s natural pre-workout and fat burner. 3-4 cups a day is sufficient, and it comes with various health benefits on top of being a natural pre-workout and fat burner.

What Does Caffeine In Coffee Do?

Coffee, or the stimulant caffeine that is naturally found in regular coffee, functions as a stimulant - which means you'll experience an increased heart rate, more blood flow to your body, and an extra dose of oxygen to your muscles when you consume it. Some researchers and fitness gurus with “bro science” tend to suggest that caffeine inhibits blood flow and vessel dilation. I believe like anything, whether it's a diet, a supplement, or coffee, you need to see how it affects your body. As Ken Andrews said, “Our bodies are chemistry sets and we need to see what works and doesn’t work for us.” Once you figure your body out, you will have better results.
